Personal Assistance Service for Persons with Disabilities
Personal assistance is a social service that provides help and support to a person with a disability in activities they cannot perform independently due to the type and degree of their disability. These activities are necessary on a daily basis, both at home and outside the home. The service also includes assistance and support in communication and information access, aiming to increase the individual's level of independence and community inclusion, protect and ensure the human rights of persons with disabilities, and achieve equality with others.
Personal assistance services for persons with physical, intellectual, or mental impairments are provided by a personal assistant. An individual may be entitled to receive between 44 and 352 hours of service per month.

Help at home
Performing household tasks, including organizing meals that the user is unable to prepare independently or that household members are unable to prepare on the user's behalf.

Personal assistance
Feeding, maintaining personal hygiene, assistance with physiological needs, enabling mobility and movement, handling assistive devices, transfers between wheelchair and bed, wheelchair and toilet, etc.

Help with social activities
Companionship and assistance with various social activities, including travel within and outside the Republic of Croatia, and help with administrative tasks.
Personal assistance includes all or some of the activities listed, depending on the user's needs.
